Thanksgiving...I know it's almost Christmas!

Kathryn was excited to dress up the a "pilgrim", and then both kids had their cereal in the gravy boat...fun huh?

We had a blessed Thanksgiving. We hosted at our house, and had a fabulous time with family. The kids enjoyed making a gingerbread house, and we enjoyed the aromas of the turkey and of course the LEFTOVERS!

It was a very thankful day!

thanksGIVING!

I'm thankful that my kids are so excited to bring food to church for the Thanksgiving food drive tomorrow! They insisted on buying EVERYTHING on Pastor Craig's list...because the people NEED that food mom! I'm excited to let them bring the food to the altar tomorros! That is thanksGIVING! I'm a proud mom!

My Little Mad Scientist!

Kaelyn LOVES going to Jill's Preschool! Today she got to dissect a frog...yes, she's four and she's dissecting a frog! I LOVE IT! She was so excited. And, she sent one home for us to dissect at home too! Now, aren't you jealous!

A Dog and Her Vet

Kaelyn was a dalmation...which we had planned to add a lot more detail too. But with everyone in isolation, and mommy in conference week, we made due with what we had for the 20 minutes we let them out of the house for.

Kathryn's vet costume had a few missing details as well, but they were excited to get out of the house and head to the Trunk or Treat at church. Tim took them up for a few minutes, and then we headed back home to bed. It was a very mellow Halloween in the Holland household for sure!

A Couple of Sick Kids

Tate was such a great caretaker. He seemed to really know that Kathryn was sick, climbed onto the couch with her and slept there with her all night. He rarely left her side while we were home that week. He can be such a sweet pup.

We spent the last week with two sick children. Coughing, achy, fever, stuffy head...they were a living Nyquil commercial. Kaelyn suffered a lot with a high fever, and both had an obnoxious cough. I'm used to Kathryn coughing, but Kaelyn hacking was a new and quite unpleasant experience. Kathryn was treated with her nebulizer, and we even attempted a treatment for Kaelyn too...you can't totally tell, but she FREAKED OUT! She said it tasted disgusting, and refused to keep the mask on. Tim and I ended up using the inhaler with the spacer that Kathryn had when she was a baby. It took both of us to hold her down, but while she was screaming, she inhaled the medication nicely...and it worked wonders!

We do not know if this was the Swine flu or not, but after missing a week of work, I hope we're on the mend for the winter!!
