OUCH
Well...I was climbing into the back of the truck yesterday to get some pop that was rolling around. I felt this SNAP! Something popped in the back of my calf. All I can say is OUCH! I am praying it's just a minor problem, since we go to Disneyland very soon! UGH!

A HOT WEEKEND!
We had an incredibly hot weekend with temps. near 90 each day. It was lovely, but when it snowed about two weeks ago, it's a little weird to go straight to summer! Anyway, we had a great time. We had a neighborhood garage sale to benefit Matt and Jackie, and that was good neighborhood time! We made close to 2500 dollars! It was neat!
Sunday was spent at church, then visiting our newest little baby, Jen and Jason's daughter Sadie.
Last, Erica took the kids while Tim and I went out for our anniversary! We had a great night.
The sun was GREAT!!!

Why?
I am sitting here tonight as my good friend received word that he has an aggressive form of leukemia. I am feeling so angry. We have spent so much time in prayer, and there are thousands of people praying for him. The doctors can't explain why it's progressing as it is. I am so frustrated. We were so hopeful, and felt like finding bone marrow matches was the miracle, and now this. Why???
Please pray for them. They are terrified, and sad. Their four little children will be without their parents for a long time during this treatment. Matt will be starting chemo tomorrow. I am so sad for them, and scared. Why????
I wish I could understand.

I still want a hula hoop...
Mother's Day!
I love Mother's Day. I like a day when I feel like the gift of being a mom is truly recognized. I love being a mom. In fact, I feel like it's my ultimate calling. I love my girls so much! I feel so blessed that they call me mommy!
This morning started out with breakfast at home. My mom was up for the night and we had a great breakfast together and then headed to church.
After church we came home and changed, and then headed to Subway for my nephew's birthday party. (He had planned a Subway birthday for months!). Then we headed back north.
On the way back we stopped and visited Tim's mom grave. It was very emotional for me. I hadn't seen the finished site, and it was beautiful. We left a flower for her, and walked around for a while. I was surprised at my kid's reaction. I think they were really overcome with the fact that all of the stones represented someone's life. We miss you Mom, Grandma Holland.

I feel like being a mom is such an opportunity to leave a legacy. What will mine be?
Happy Mother's Day mom! I love you!

I LOVE Saturdays
I have learned to love Saturday. It is the one day that we can hang out, not get up early, clean up or not, get dressed or not, play inside, play outside or go somewhere fun. It is nice to not have to be up and out the door like we are the six other days of the week. Saturdays are just plain fun!
Today we went to a birthday party and then welcomed Tim's dad back home from Arizona. I picked up Kaelyn's pictures finally, and then we just hung out.
I'm not sure what the plans are for tomorrow, but I'm happy if we're all just together.

A Lazy Weekend
Kathryn has shown an interest in vacuuming lately, and she actually does a pretty good job even though the vacuum is about as big as her! I hope she continues to find things she enjoys doing!

Kathryn has been sick since Thursday with a high fever...so...I'll be off work tomorrow again. I don't mind too much right now, but I have a lot to finalize in the next month before school is out!
I am currently in the process of working on my resume and getting paperwork together to turn in an application in the local school district...wow what a process! Well...we'll see. I guess it will be nice to have another day at home with my kids.
Tim cooked a great dinner tonight...fresh caught salmon! We quietly celebrated our anniversary with our sick daughter. Well...dinner out still awaits.
