Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Well, I decided that since St. Patty's Day and Easter are the same week, I should post the St. Patrick's Day pics. before tomorrow!

Kathryn was so proud of her leprechaun costume...and then freaked out at night because she was creeped out about the thought of little green men lurking about...I guess it is a little weird huh! We topped the night off with green eggs and ham for dinner! A fun little day!

I can make a "K"!

Kaelyn has been practicing her "K"'s. She recognizes the letter "K", but not too many other letters. Here is a picture of her K that she showed me tonight. I told her, "WOW! Now you can learn to write your name!" She said, "Oh MAAAAN!"

She really cracks me up!

Not that old....

I was teaching a class tonight at church. Somehow it came around that I had been teaching about 14 years. Someone looked at me and said, "NO way. You can't be that old! You don't look like you have been doing anything that long!" She guessed my age to be 29...NICE!
Thanks for the compliment!

Inspiration from my friend Cristi

I love reading Cristi's writing. Someday she will be an official published author! This is a glimpse of life from her blog, used with permission. It made me think. It made me cry. It made me thankful for today!

...Every once in a while something strikes me and I pause to soak up the moment. With my mind I take a snapshot then store it in my heart like a treasure I hope to carry with me even into my old age. It wouldn't be the same to reach for the camera; I think the lens would separate me from the fullness of the moment and the photo would only be added to the thousand other ones stored on my computer. These are the times when I remember I am alive. Flashes of the future and of the past collide to jolt me out of my sometimes robotic existence. I breathe in deep and get a renewed perspective.

Make your bed!

A few days ago I asked Kaelyn and Kathryn to go make their beds. Kathryn climbed up to the top bunk and began making it perfect. Kaelyn went into the office and got some paper. She brought it to me and said, "I need some help." I said, "You need to go make your bed." She said, "I need you to help me." O.K. So I went into her room. She came in a few minutes later with something on her paper. "What's that?" I asked?. "It's my bed. I made it!"

I think I need to get her a few Amedlia Bedelia books!
