Tonight at dinner, Kathryn told us that Kaelyn had been throwing rocks at daycare...poor Kaelyn has a spy...anyway, Tim had been talking to her about not throwing rocks before. I said, we don't want to hurt anyone's eyes or head.
Fast forward to bedtime. Our devotions tonight "happened" to be David and Goliath. Now that's what I call hurting someone with a rock! I think Kaelyn got the point! Anyway, we'll see if she remembers tomorrow.

A fun pre-birthday weekend!
A New Skill!
Daddy's Girl????
Sorry about the laughter, but she was cracking us up, and then when she fell over, we all almost fell over too! Kaelyn can be such a kick!
The words are supposed to be:
Father Abraham, had many sons.
Many sons have Father Abraham.
I am one of them. And so are you.
So let's just praise the Lord.
She's close...sort of...well...maybe not!

Happy Birthday Dad (Grandpa!)

Yesterday, February 21st would have been my dad's 61st birthday! We miss him so much! Each year we have started sending him balloons in Heaven. The girls love it, and I enjoy watching them go up until we can't see them anymore. We sang happy birthday to him and talked about our favorite things about him.
Kaelyn is confused about how Jesus is in Heaven with Grandpa and in her heart. She decided that God must be in her stomach!
She asks a few times a week why Grandpa can't come back from Heaven to see her. I wish he could too!
Happy Birthday Dad! Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Birthday continued
Snow Day
Well, I'm a little behind on pictures, so here are a few to catch up. We had a snow day a couple of weeks ago. Tim pulled the kids on the sled behind the tractor, until mommy said....HELMETS please! Kathryn was quick to point out that that was a great idea since they'd already crashed once on the road!

Daddy's Girl
Last weekend Kathryn and I were eating breakfast together. She said, I don't think I ever want to kiss anyone...that's gross!
Then she said, Mommy, what was it like the first time you kissed daddy?
I thought, Hmmm, I didn't expect to have this conversation for few more years.
I told her that grown ups sometimes like to kiss and in twenty years she might even like to kiss someone too. She said NO Way.
She said, "I don't think I want to get married." I said, "why not?" She said,
Because, you know how they say, "You may now kiss the bride." GROSS
She got a thoughtful look in eyes, and then she said,
"I wish I could just marry daddy. He's not gross to kiss! I love daddy."
Tonight she said, I just want to stay with you. I want to live with you forever.
I sure hope she always wants to be with me!

Choo Choo!
Tonight Kaelyn asked me,
"Mommy, Am I a potty train?"
I said, "Yep!"
She said, "My friend Kathleen is a potty train too!"
She is so cute sometimes! I actually can't believe that she's been potty TRAINED for over a year already...now if we can only get through the nights too!

Tagged
I got tagged by my friend Stacey. I'm supposed to tell you seven strange things about me. I don't know how to tag someone else, so I guess I'll just list the things:
1. I LOVE the smell of puppy breath.
2. I have a true phobia of throwing up.
3. I actually like watching Barney and the Wiggles with my kids:)
4. I used to take notes in college with my left hand because I thought I could become left handed.
5. I wish I could have a loose tooth again...I love to wiggle them--although I'm not really sure losing my teeth at this point would be a great thing...
6. Most things I have ever memorized has been in the form of a song: planets, books of the Bible, Bible verses, states, etc.
7. I can speak gibberish with my sister...now that Kathryn can spell pretty well I think I need to teach it to Tim.
Now I'm supposed to tag 7 people's blogs. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do that, and I don't know 7 people who have blogs...so, if you want to share your 7 interesting things with me, I guess you'll have to post a comment:)
