Whew!! BIRTHDAY WEEK FOR KAELYN!!

4 years old is fun! She was truly exhausted by the end of the day yesterday, but fell asleep with a great smile on her face! What a sweetheart! Happy Birthday Kaelyn!

Boy, my special little four year old was truly celebrated! We finished off the week with a little bouncy house party with friends, and then a family celebration at home! It was wonderful! Erica even flew in to surprise Kaelyn, and watching her run across the room to jump into her arms was about the most priceless thing ever!!

The Trampoline is Up!

What a fun toy! My kids have had a blast! I even got on and jumped, and was surprised at how fun it was...although I was dizzy when I got off!

Happy Birthday Kaelyn!

My baby is 4! She was so excited she jumped out of bed at 6:00am. She made her own brownies to take to school, and then my mom picked her up for a special princess day after preschool!

We went to Applebees for dinner, and then came come for presents and cake. What a fun day!

Happy Birthday Kaelyn. I love you so much!!!!

I'm the Principal!

Kathryn, Dustin and Kaelyn were playing school yesterday. Kaelyn came out and said, "Mom? I need this chair in my room o.k.? I need to have a chair in my room because I'm the Principal. So...if any kids are naughty, they have to come and sit in a chair in my office!!"

How she knows about a Principal, I will never know, but it sure was cute!!

Happy New Year!

After a very laid back New Years' Eve and celebrating at home at 9:00, our good friends came down for a little New Year's Day fiesta!

We made homemade tortillas, beans, and salsa, and had a wonderful time catching up with my old "roomies" from college!

The kids had a blast, and so did we! We already made plans for round 2 for the super bowl!

Spelling Tests Begin...Bummer!

I was home sick today, and Kathryn came home to do her reading homework. While puting it away, I noticed a new letter from her teacher...spelling tests are starting this week!

Kathryn was not excited, well...actually I wasn't excited either! Spelling is not my favorite subject to teach, and watching my daughter's reaction tonight as we attemtped to practice her words, I can tell it won't be her favorite to learn either!

Did you know:

Now should have an a in it NOT AN O!!!

Also, Want should have an o in it NOT AN A!!!

Tim and I both tried to reason with her about how our language is silly and here are some tricks to help you, but she said, "I just can't learn anything!!! I can't spell anything!!!

I thought she actually did pretty well since she got who, said, some, and for. She seemd willing to work on adding an extra o to the word to to make it too, because I guess that sound is logical.

Oh Boy! I'm excited to practice tomorrow night! Maybe Kaelyn will help her!

I'm your little Girlfriend!

Yesterday, Kathryn was supposed to have a play date, but it got postponed til today. Kaelyn and I were going to go shopping for her birthday stuff. She was so excited! I ended up taking Just Kaelyn by herself much to Kathryn's dismay.

We went to run errands, to get lunch at McDonalds and then to my classroom. She was adorable. I don't get to spend a lot of time with her alone, so this was a special day for both of us.

Before she left, she said, "Mommy, I get to go with you today because I'm you little girlfriend right?"

She was so excited!

She picked out princess invitations since they didn't have My Little Pony. She is excited about her birthday, and was so excited to tell about our day together.
