Happy Anniversary!

Tim and I went to dinner at Anthony's for our 13th anniversary!  We had a lovely evening on a VERY windy day.  We could look out at the beach and watch the sand blow into the water from the Jetty.  It was cool.

Happy Anniversary Tim!  I love you!

Girls' Weekend 2010

Cristi, Hang and I had a fabulous girls' weekend away to Bellingham to relive our college days! Man, I LOVE that place! We had wonderful meals, retraced our path at Western and visited our old home called La Casa Fea.

We loaded up the Mini and cruised North!

We were blessed with a beautiful home on Lake Whatcom where we could hang and for the weekend. It was magnificent! And God even blessed us more with a beautiful sunny day to enjoy as well! It was such a great weekend! I can't wait for next year!
Blown away at the Beach

A fabulous dinner at Anthony's!  YUMMY!

Cristi and I worked on digital photo books while we enjoyed a quiet weekend on the lake.
(I can't remember what she's shocked about!)  What a goof!  I love that girl!

A view from the deck at the Lake
Bellinham marina--anytime I smell the sound it totally reminds me of my dad.  We spent some time reminiscing about our boat trip to the San Juans.

La Casa Fea--this was the house I lived in with 6 girls for two years. It was an UGLY house, but beautiful on the inside and had a glorious view of Bellingham Bay!  All for 162.50 a month!

Red Square: The fountain is my fav spot on campus.

Walking the path of time capsules near Old Main

Old Main

And of course a visit to our old stompin' grounds where we first met 20 years ago!  Yes, can you believe it's been 20 years???!!!???
As we walked around I kept asking Cristi if she thought we stood out...or do you think we fit in?  Um, I'm pretty sure it was obvious we were almost 40!!  For goodness sake, we realized we could have had children enrolling there!  Oh boy!  I am truly thankful that God has blessed me with friendship!

Bellingham wouldn't be complete without a trip to the Bagelry!  YUM!

The Marina
Hang and I--I love that girl too!

Now, that's what I call serenity!  We actually sat down on the dock for a while on Saturday since it was beautiful!

What a wonderful weekend to refresh, reconnect, and remember!

I am thankful!

Fishing!

Tim has the fishing bug really bad right now!  He is fishing a few times a week, and catching TONS of fish.  It's been fun for me to watch the girls start to get excited about it.  In fact, last week we all went out to fish together.  I love watching my husband pass his love to my girls.  It reminds me so much of my favorite memories of my dad.  I love that he'll pick Kaelyn up at school and take her fishin' like his little fishing buddy.  It makes my heart happy.  It makes me thankful.  I am glad my kids have a dad who shares his loves with them.

Tomorrow's the derby...good luck!

Mother's Day

I am blessed.
My husband blesses me.  My children bless me. My mom blesses me.  My sister blesses me.
I sat in the sunshine today, basking in the revelation that I am so blessed.  I have a great husband, a fabulous family, and wonderful girls.  I love them!

God truly gave me the desires of my heart when he allowed me the gift of being called mom.  There are moments where I wonder if I can do it. Moments where I fee frustrated.  But when I see my children, truly see their hearts, I am so thankful for them.  They are a true gift.  And this day, I am realizing the gift of the day....this day where I reflect on the beauty of being mom.

I love that name!
