Kaelyn's Birthday party!

Here is a slideshow of some of the pictures from Kaelyn's birthday party! She had a blast! We had a Dora party complete with a Dora pinata and pin the tail on Boots. Her favorite part was when we sang happy birthday to Kaelyn! Thanks to everyone who came!

Kaelyn's Birthday!

My little Roo is 3! I can't believe it! (Neither can she actually, since we had to cancel her party!). She woke up on the 21st and when I told her she still had a fever she said, "But I CAN'T be sick on my Birthday!" Later she told me that she was not going to be 3, she was actually going to be 7 today instead.

She picked out brownies for dessert, so we sang happy birthday...complete with the necessary birthday hat...and then headed back to bed. She was thrilled! My Aunt sent her a mini trampolene, and that has been a hit at our house! She also got a baby doll that really talks to you and responds to her name. She LOVES it! It really does seem like a real baby sometimes, it's had us all laughing!

Anyway, I am so thankful for my sweet little girl...yes, she's a terror sometimes, but all in all she's my sweet little girl, my baby, my buddy! I Love you Kaelyn! I am thankful for the gift of YOU!

Sick of being sick!

We are finally turning the corner. I came down with the flu virus last Monday, and Kaelyn finally is fever free today! All four of us have been down with this one. I am praying we are moving past it! We spent a long time scouring today! We are all definitely sick of being sick!

I really like the angle that Kaelyn took the picture from. I think it's cool that she captured the walls. I guess it's neat that you can take a picture when you're 3 feet tall!

The Village Remembered, and the color of walls

Here is a picture of what our Christmas village looked like this year. I really liked it in our new home. Cristi, now you can see the color of the walls...since I keep forgetting to post it!

Christmas at Erica's

We had a family Christmas after Christmas last weekend. I was finally looking through some of the pics and a few made me laugh--my sister really is pretty funny,and she had us trying to take some self portrait pics. Anyway, I thought some of them were pretty funny...




Also, notice the HUGE pizza box. We ordered pizza from a little joint down from my sister's place. Then, she and I walked down and got it in the pouring down rain--she said it was an experience. Gotta love it! It truly was memory making!

Happy New Year

Well...we woke up to snow again! It's beautiful, and I don't have to drive today! Yay!
We took down all of the remnants of our Christmas decorations this weekend, and it's always a let down. We have a huge Christmas village, so we actually have 12 Chrimstas boxes! I miss our tree a lot. Our living room looks so empty now. Kaelyn has mourned each item as it left the room. I had a revelation yesterday though. We need to figure out how to keep our home covered in Christ all year. Christmas is a season but Jesus, the Christ, lives in us all year. I hope that the light of Christmas will remain with us and with you each day this year. The newness of the year is exciting too!
