The Special Gift From Roo
Sometimes a simple thing touches my heart. My little daughter warmed my heart to overflowing this morning. Kaelyn came running into my room anxious to show me something.
She said, “Mommy! Look what I made for you!”
She pulled a silver chain from behind her back, and excitedly handed me a precious bracelet. Dangling off of the bracelet were various charms. She carefully explained why she had given me each one…
A soccer ball because I’m a soccer mom. A sparkly “M”, because my name is mom! A horse because she traded with Kathryn, and finally my favorite... She picked up the silver key, and said,
“I gave you this key, because you have the key to my heart!”
I have been wearing this precious jewelry all day long, proudly. And each time the dangly gems hit my wrist, I remember my precious Roo, who handmade me this beautiful little bracelet that means so much! My heart is full!
